LEADERSHIP IN GRADE 7
We start developing leadership opportunities by voting for class captains from Grade 5. The captain changes each term. The Grade 6 classes are each given the opportunity to work in the Media for a term, where team work is encouraged and they are mentored by the Grade 7 Media committee. At the end of Grade 6 the girls are assigned a committee for Grade 7. These include, Ethos, Playground, Media, Function, Sports and Cultural.
1. GRADE 7 COMMITTEES
The Grade 6 Teachers will allocate the members of each committee. The Committee will have specific duties to perform throughout the year . The committees will be announced at the Final Assembly in November. The committees will be run as follows:

2. OFFICE BEARERS
Will be chosen and announced during the first term or the beginning of the sporting season. These girls will have a specific duty to perform and will report to the teacher or coach in charge of the activity e.g. netball,swimming,hockey etc.
3. HEAD GIRL AND DEPUTY HEAD GIRL
Will be chosen according to set criteria. Will be announced at the Awards Assembly at the end of the first term. These girls will belong to a specific committee as well as ensure the smooth running, integration and co-operation of the committees. They will work with the Executive Leaders and each Leader Group. They will report to Mrs Kerr.
4. EXECUTIVE LEADERS
Executive Leaders will be chosen, according to set criteria, at the end of the first term and will be announced at the Awards Assembly. These girls will work with the Head and Deputy Head Girl. They will be given specific duties to perform on a roster basis. They will also work on the committee to which they belong. They will report to Ms dela Hurt.
All the girls who do not form part of the Executive Leader Group will be divided into 3 groups. They will be Leaders for a period of about 8 weeks. They will work on a specific project during their period of office.
6. INDOOR DUTY
Each Grade 7 class will have a turn to be in charge of the classes and to supervise them on these days. Each class will be on duty for a term. Mrs Addinall will organise this.
7. GRADE 7 TEAM BUILDING CAMP
Will take place during the first term.
8. OBJECTIVE OF THE GRADE 7 LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME
To provide the opportunity for every learner to work as a member of a team and to develop their leadership skills in a spirit of Servant Leadership.
GRADE 7 BARN DANCE
This is held in July and is attended by the Grade 7 boys from CBC. The Function Committee arranges this event which is always enjoyed by all.
GRADE 7 FAREWELL DINNER
The Grade 7 Farewell Dinner is held in October/November and is a very special event for our Grade 7 girls and their parents. Our Grade 7 girls entertain their parents showcasing their very special talents.
